BATTERY BACK-UP (V1B)

The V1B option provides a built-in battery and charger for operation during temporary power outage. The internal battery will continue operation of THE CONVERTIBLE(tm)  for approximately 24 - 60 hours, depending upon options chosen for the unit.

Note : The (TH) options is not suitable for battery back-up due to the high power requirements. If it is necessary to provide enclosure heating during extended power loss, external batteries must be provided.

 BACKLIGHT (BL)

A BACKLIGHTING option can be provided allowing the user to view the LCD Display in the dark. The BACKLIGHTING option is activated through the keypad.

SOLAR POWER (SP)

A solar powered battery charging system is available for units where alternate sources of power are not available.

INTRINSIC SAFETY (SB)

An FM/CSA approved intrinsic safety barrier is available for hazardous area applications (Class 1, Division 1, Groups C & D). This option requires a safety barrier preamplifier (PCL) on the transducer.

TRANSDUCER HEATER POWER SUPPLY (HPS)

Transducer heaters are not commonly required. However, in extreme conditions, such as a heated outdoor tank, with extreme condensation and freezing at the top of the tank, the transducer may become iced over, preventing proper function. In these cases, a transducer heater may be ordered. The HPS option provides low level, DC voltage to a heater provided
in the transducer.

ANALOG INPUT (DC)

The standard sensor interface for THE CONVERTIBLE is an Inventron ultrasonic transducer. However, many other standard sensor/transmitter combinations may be used. Pres0
sure transducers and capacitance probes are available with either a current or voltage output, and these may be interfaced directly with the unit. All keyboard data entry functions remain the same. Engineering units can be chosen for the LCD readout and can easily programmed via the keyboard.

FREQUENCY INPUT (FR)

A built-in frequency counter can be used as an alternative input for sensors which provide a pulsed, frequency output. When specifying this option, be sure to indicate the frequency range of the sensor used as an input device.

TRANSMIT SYNCHRONIZATION (UJ)

When two or more controllers are mounted near each other, of if two or more transducers have coaxial cables run in the same conduit, it is necessary to synchronize the transmit pulses to insure that the signal will not crosstalk with each other.

PLOTTER (P4) OPTION
