ENCLOSURES
There are many deferent enclosures available for THE
CONVERTIBLE(tm). Standard wall-mount enclosures meeting
NEMA 12 (N12) and NEMA 4 (N4) standards are the
most
popular. A PANEL MOUNT design has been made to fit a DIN
cutout, and is recommended for use in control room environments
where mounting space is a premium.
- N12 - JIC-style N12-rated steel enclosure.
N4M - JIC-style N4-rated steel enclosure. Keypad
mounted inside of the enclosure on a swing-plate
unless specified otherwise. When unit is ordered
with hinged windows (HW), key pad is mounted on
face of enclosure.
There are four standard recorders offered on THE CONVERTIBLE(tm)
- 2R - Inkless, 2 1/4 inch strip recorder, which will
record for 31 days on one chart.
4R - 4 inch fan-fold strip chart recorder, with a
cartridge pen, which will record in excess of
31 days on one strip char.
10/12R- Circular chart recorders/24 hour or 7 day speed must be specified.
N4C - Plastic, N4X-rated enclosure with acrylic,
hinged front windows. Quick-turn thumb
screw provide easy access to keypad.
(The enclosure size for the N4C does not
allow door or panel mount options, such as
recorders, plotters, or relay expansion
modules - the N4P is required.)
N4P - Plastic, N4X-rated enclosure. Keypad
mounted inside of the enclosure on a swing-
plate unless specified otherwise. When unit
is ordered with hinged windows (HW), the
keypad is mounted on face of enclosure.
A thermostatically controller heater is recommended inside
the controller enclosure in all outdoor installations where the
temperature at the controller drops below 32 degrees F (0 degrees C),
or where extreme condensation is expected.
PLOTTER (P4)
A plotter is available for use with the datalogging software,
supplying an inexpensive printed copy for historical records
or survey work. In additions to printing interval statistics, the
plotter can also plot a graph of instantanous data. Interval
statistics may be printed for a user-defined time period.
DIN - Panel mount, self contained controller,
housed in a DIN enclosure (cutout for case
192 x 144 DIN 43700).
OC - Open chassis unit, with backplate-mounted
circuit board and loose keypad.
NEP - Blind exterior N4X-rated plastic enclosure
to house controller mounted in N12 enclosure,
providing maximum environmental protection.
NEM - Blind exterior N4 metal enclosure to house
entire unit. Recommended for use in exposed
areas such as parking lots, etc. Hasp for
padlock provided.
PK - Portable keypad housed in fiberglass
carrying case. Includes cable and
connector for accessing blind transmitter.
CB - Circuit board only, for field mounting or
spares.
N7 - explosion proof enclosures for Class1
Division 1, Groups C & D.
