| GENERAL
INVENTRON has been the leading manufacturer of ultrasonic transducers since the 1960's. A section of this catalog describes ultrasonic sensor input devices. TANK LEVEL AND OPEN CHANNEL FLOWTHE CONVERTIBLE by INVENTRON combines advanced micro-processor circuitry. It can function in either a tank level or flow mode providing TANK level and volume as well as flow for all types of open channel devices. All calibration information is stored in non-volatile memory so that lose of power does not affect field calibration data. INPUT DEVICESTHE CONVERTIBLE(tm) can be configured with different sensor inputs. The unit has been designed to accept the following inputs: ULTRASONIC MAGNETORESTRICTIVE ANALOG (voltage or current) CAPACITANCE FREQUENCY |

These capabilities allow the user to standardize on a single intelligent control interface. This feature can minimize operator training, resulting in increased productivity since one user interface serves many types of control equipment. Pressure transducers, as well as capacitance sensors, which provide a 4-20 MA output signal are available from a wide variety of manufactures. Any device which provides a flow- proportional signal can utilize the scaling, totalization, and digital output of THE CONVERTIBLE. Specific applications utilizing these input devices are covered in application bulletins. |
Programming Security - To activate
the programming mode, the user enters a personal identification code (similar
to PIN codes commonly used on banking terminals). Unless the unit is so
activated, existing data can be read, but no new data can be entered. Portable Keypad Enclosure - The
keypad is available in a portable enclosure. This may be used with blind
transmitters where either a digital or analog signal is sent to a remote
receiver. In this case. one keypad could service multiple unmanned pumping
stations, and similar situations where the use of the keypad is mainly
limited to initial setup. |

KEYPAD
General - The keyboard
contains 20 keys for data entry and programming. Various functions such
as the setting of the alarm/control relays are menu driven for ease of
data entry, providing a user-friendly interface. The 48 character Liquid
variables at the same time. Also, as functions are entered, the unit utilizes
the capabilities of the LCD to provide the names of the functions and
to prompt the data entry. The units on the display can be field programmed so that any variable can be chosen such as feet, inches, centimeters, gallons, pounds, kilograms. |
