PUMP DOWN output remains ON until the absence of liquid (HIGH RESISTANCE) on probe circuit. INVERSE OPERATION PUMP UP output remains ON until the presence of liquid (LOW RESISTANCE) on probe circuit.
By simply selecting and installing the proper R1 resistor (from the complete set furnished) the 8401 controls Low or Medium sensitivity liquids like fruit juice, soups, beer, milk, ordinary tap water, sewage, etc., to High sensitivity liquids such as distilled water, steam condensate, alcohol & bulk materials with low moisture content. All with Alternating Current, No Shock Hazard or Electrolysis Contamination.
Available with DC sensing to control the same liquids over Long distances.
For applications where a variety of liquids are controlled in the same tank, interface detection, or when foam & liquid separation is required, we recommend our Model 8401V with variable resistance potentiometer.
